There are many services which were established during the lifetime of John S. Latsis which are continued today under the auspices of his family Henrietta, Marianna, Margarita and Spiro Latsis. One of the first foundations that John set up was the Ileians’ Scholarships Foundation in 1967, providing scholarships to students wishing to pursue a course of undergraduate or post-graduate study. The Latsis family continues to support hundreds of students in Greece and overseas pursuing either a Masters’ degree or a PhD across a broad scope of subjects.

The Fondation Latsis Internationale is a non-profit foundation based in Switzerland since 1975 with focus on awarding annual prizes to scientific groups who have made outstanding or innovative contributions to their field. In 1991, the Foundation for the Rehabilitation of Albanians of Greek Descent was established, contributing to improvements in living conditions and prospects in the job market through the provision of both lodgings and education for Albanians with Greek ascendants. The John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation also supports social welfare programmes such as the Family and Childcare Centre and the Food Bank – Foundation to Fight Hunger. These initiatives offer invaluable aid, education and support to some of the most vulnerable members of society.
